Summary
A realistic, "un-Hollywood" look into the Vietnam War, this is a story of a young soldier's tour of duty, his culturally diverse platoon and its two leaders: one who fights with both personal and moral courage though he no longer believes in the war, and the other, whose whose facial scars are a mirror of the violence and corruption of his soul.
